Meridian Risk Systems
Hamburg sensor maker in Bahrenfeld, supplies data to the ICRU
Meridian Risk Systems is a Hamburg company based in Bahrenfeld. It occupies the third floor of a building of glass and pale concrete, between a software firm and a maritime law practice. Lars Brandt has been CEO for nine years; in that time the company has grown from 14 to 206 employees. Meridian builds the line of deep-sea sensors that half the deep-sea moorings in the North Atlantic run on, and it supplies the ICRU with a data feed, free of charge, under a contract. Early on, Lena describes this as a problem for the whole field: the company builds the sensors that deliver the data used to evaluate the sensors.
