Characters
Jürgen Kaminski
Employee at Meridian Risk Systems in Hamburg
Jürgen Kaminski works at Meridian Risk Systems in Hamburg. He has rounded shoulders and thin, close-cropped hair, and he always picks up the phone on the first ring. He comes to his boss, Lars Brandt, with a laptop and no folder, and when he explains something he looks at the table. When Lena Voss of the ICRU requests unprocessed readings and two years of calibration records in the middle of the night, he notes in the margin: “Received 3:14 a.m. Unusual.” Brandt wants to know what the records say. Kaminski checks and reports that they are complete and formally flawless. He adds two sentences of his own to the reply to the ICRU.
