Dr. Rühe
ICRU meteorologist who knows about the old probe in storage
Dr. Rühe is a meteorologist at the ICRU in Hamburg, round, with a knit vest over his shirt. In the meeting where Lena Voss presents her numbers, he stops taking notes. Afterward he stays behind and tells her he believes her about the pattern, but not yet about the worst number. He advises her to check the calibration records before she trusts the readings. Two years ago he himself asked about a drift, got a very friendly answer that said nothing, and didn’t follow up. From him, Lena learns that an old probe is still sitting in the institute’s storage depot, and who can calibrate it.
