The Report
The official report on the night aboard the FS Vindel
There is a report about the night aboard the FS Vindel when Lukas died. In the ICRU archive in Hamburg, Lena Voss asks for the “Incident Report, Ship’s Command” and learns that it isn’t kept there: the ship’s command sends its report to the shipowner and to the investigating authority. Those involved can request it from them. Lena was involved. For eight years she hasn’t requested it, afraid of what it might say. She read the log of that night once and then locked it away.
